What does “certified” mean?
At a California Certified Farmers Market, agricultural producers can sell products they grow directly to consumers. County inspectors verify producer certification and the agricultural products offered in the certified section.
Do markets operate year-round?
Many do, but some are seasonal, monthly or close during part of the year. Those exceptions are marked in the directory when the county publishes them.
What about farm stands?
Farm stands, U-pick farms and produce shops are different from certified farmers markets, so they are not included in this directory.
Can I bring my dog?
Pet rules vary by market and property. Check the market’s official information before bringing a dog, especially at school, medical-campus and food-service locations.
